Students

Do you and your classmates have a great idea for a website that other students will find interesting? ThinkQuest New York City allows students to create educational websites for prizes, recognition, and to be published in the TQNYC Library.

How to Participate

Sometimes teachers recruit students and other times, students recruit teachers. Either way, teams are made up of 2-6 students and 1-2 adult coaches from your school. If your school doesn't have a TQNYC program already, get some friends together who want to do the project, then tell a teacher about it and ask if they would be your coach (send them to tqnyc.org for important information).

Then, create a great idea, research interesting information, write cool content for other kids to read, and then design and build your website. When your coach registers your team, you will have access to lots of great tools.

In the meantime, you can get busy learning how to build a website from one of our Tutorials, get ideas and facts from the many sites on our Resources page, and be sure to read through the "How to Win" section for pointers on how to submit a really great site.
